  • When will my session take place?
I love shooting outdoors when the sun is in my favor. In summer, this means that evenings are best, but in spring and autumn we have much more time during the day. I also shoot outdoors in winter (I love when it snows!). As for photoshoots at home we will talk about what time there is the most beautiful light in your house, and we will take it into account when arranging a shoot. Most often it is between 8 am and 3 pm - depending on the season.
  • Where will my session take place?
Most home sessions take place in Belgium or Warsaw, Poland. But if you live a little (or a lot) further away, make sure to drop me a line. I am flexible and most probably we will be able to make an appointment :) Outdoor sessions usually take place in my favorite hidden gems around both cities, which I will tell you about when you contact me. I'm also constantly looking for new locations and I'd love to hear if you have any perfect spots for photos.
  • What if it rains on outdoor session?
We usually wait until the day of the scheduled session before deciding if rescheduling is necessary as the weather may suddenly improve. If the weather is not favorable, we will simply reschedule. I always plan to have a few hours a month booked for transfer sessions due to circumstances beyond our control.
  • Some tips and tricks to make the session a success
First of all, relax :) I understand that being in front of a camera is not always a comfortable situation. It even can be pretty scary! But remember that my job is also to help you feel good in front of my lens. I always try to encourage my families to play together. Thanks to this, the atmosphere quickly relaxes, and the emotions in my photographs are real. You are welcome to search trough my Portfolio, where you will see (I hope!) that I capture authentic, sincere family moments. When preparing your kids for the session, it's best to tell them that it will be fun, with lots of cuddling and tickling. Think about what makes your kids laugh the most - that's what we'll be doing during the session. Bringing some snacks with you can help sometimes, but photos during chewing don't come out very well and you might miss a great shot. So I ecourage you to leave them for breaks or for after the photosession (thank you!) :)
  • When is the best time to schedule a maternity session?
Most girls make an appointment for a photo shoot between 28 and 36 weeks. It all depends on how you feel and how fast your belly grows :) It's important not to plan a session close to the due date, because we may simply not make it on time. If the session will take place in your home, it would be best to schedule the session between 8am to 3 pm. The exact start time for shooting will depend on when your home is at its brightest. If you dream about outdoor photos, we will meet 2 hours before sunset or (if you are an early bird) 1 hour after sunrise :)
  • How to prepare for the photosession?
During the maternity session we focus on the future mother and her tummy, but of course I also invite your partner and kids. I fully understand that being photographed can be a bit awkward and you don't know what to expect. My role is to make you relax and the session will be a pleasure for you. I will tell you how to position yourself, where to look and how to place your hands. Don't hesitate to bring an ultrasound scan, baby shoes or anything else you can think of. Some bring a bag of goodies, others nothing. The most important thing is that the photos are in your style, the way you want them to be. If you have any favorite photos that inspire you, be sure to send me a message. I will do my best to meet your expectations.
  • How to dress?
The most important thing is that you feel comfortable in the clothes you choose. So firstly, you should like what you are wearing. Some girls prefer to dress like they do every day - for example, in a sweater and jeans, others dream of a photosession in a long dress. If you can't decide, bring both! There will be time for two different outfits if you will be willing to change mid-session.
  • Where will the session take place?
The session can take place in your home or outdoors. If you have a dream place for photos, be sure to let me know. If you want me to suggest a location, write me a message, and I will surely find something right just for you.
  • Where will the session take place?
Newborn sessions take place in your home - in the nursery, bedroom or living room. I like to photograph places that have a special meaning to you. I would like you to be able to remember the armchair where the baby was fed or the sofa where the dad was napping with the baby on his stomach when looking at the photos in the future. When I come to your home, I will look around and see which places will be best due to the available natural light. Before the session, I will ask what time of day your apartment is brightest - this helps me determine what time we should schedule the session.
  • What to wear?
Bright, neutral colors (white, cream, light brown, light gray) and earthy colors (greens, burgundy, mustard) look best in my photographs and are timeless. Avoid very bright colors, inscriptions and fairy-tale characters, because they unnecessarily distract attention. Natural materials and subdued colors look the most beautiful.
  • What to bring?
My goal is for newborn sessions to tell the honest story of your growing family. I like to keep props to a minimum - all we need is your family and a newborn baby. You can take your favorite clothes, blankets and unique souvenirs with you. I will bring a special heater to keep the baby warm even in a diaper and a Moses basket. If you have any questions about incorporating additional elements into your photo shoot, please don't hesitate to contact me.
  • How to prepare your home
It's important that you tidy up your home. But don’t worry – it’s not about impeccable purity cleanliness. Rather, we need to make sure we keep any distractions to minimum. So, please no colorful toys, syrups, water bottles lying around in places where we will take pictures. It would be great if you managed to make a bed in the bedroom. The pictures look best with light bedding that does not have very clear, contrasting patterns.
  • Some tips and tricks to make the session a success
Please remember during the session that I am a very patient and flexible person. If during the shooting you need to feed, change diapers or calm the baby several times, it really doesn't matter! I'll wait as long as it takes, and we'll take pictures calmly. Our common goal is the most beautiful photos of your family. A keepsake for life.
